Ruth was preceded in death by her parents her first and second husbands and three brothers Melvin Horner, Marvin Horner and Gerald Horner. Locally she worked with Interserve, My Brother’s Keeper, and the Judah House. She traveled to the hurricane ravaged southeast US, as well as Mexico and Peru. She also volunteered with American Red Cross Disaster Relief and Volunteers in Mission. She worked for many years with the United Methodist Women and the Festival of Sharing. Ruth was known for her loving and generous servant’s heart. Cleo Colville in 1984 and they lived near Helena, MO. He loved to play cards with friends and family and could be found at the local casinos playing his favorite slot machine. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and trapping. In 1981, Bill and Benita “Benny” Merritt married together with Bill’s eight children and Benny’s six, made a family of 14.īill’s life was filled with numerous hobbies and pastimes. He was a member of the Quaker Oats Quarter Century Club. He retired from Quaker Oats in 1995 after 27 years of service. He graduated from Highland High School in 1952.īill worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a line foreman, Swift and Company in St Joseph MO as a meat processor, and Borax where he traveled across the US spraying railways.
